Tools Required For Nearly Every Kind Of Soccer Legend
Thursday, January 19th, 2012Talent carries you pretty far when it comes to things like sports, but there’s a limit to how far talent can get you. You’ve also got to have the right tools for the job. If you don’t have the best possible tools, you’re just never going to fully realize your potential as a soccer player.
You’ve got to have a ball that’s nice and light, but that also has enough grip for you to put a wicked spin on it. That’s how you get the bend on the ball, and really make an impact.
But you’re also going to find that you’ve got to have good shoes for doing that. They need to be poised for how you like to strike. Whether you’re a midfield maestro that needs to caress the ball with your instep. Or if you’re a defender or even striker that needs maximum power from your laces, for every volley.
Some boots in fact even have giant sweet spots so that they are made to give you tons of power right on the top of your laces. That way you’re always poised for a spectacular strike or a supreme volley.
Goalkeepers tend to need a totally different set of tools when they take the field. But they are still just as vital to ensure that you can always make the stops, if that’s the position that you end up taking up.
It’s good to have a field that’s a little wet and a little slick, but when it’s raining things can get dangerous, and it can be hard for you to keep your feet when you’re trying to play the ball.
But if the ball is too slick, it’s going to roll around, and you’re just not going to have any kind of control when it comes to running with the ball. If you don’t have control everything’s going to go wrong on the pitch.
The same is true finally when you’re selecting the right type of feel for the ball. You have to go with those that are a bit softer, that way you can finesse the ball more. Balls that are too hard have to be hit much too hard and you lose a lot of control when you do that.
