Good Will Hunting very well might be Williams’ best role of his career. In this movie, he plays a psychologist who is the only person that is able to get through to Will Hunting, a genius who has gone down the wrong path. Matt Damon stars as the title character.

Another film that I would definitely say is one of my favorites starring Robin Williams is Hook. This Steven Spielberg directed adaptation of the Peter Pan story was wildly successful and my personal favorite of its kind. Dustin Hoffman is also great in this film as Captain Hook.

The final movie to make the list is One Hour Photo. I am including this movie because it is such a departure from any other type of Robin Williams role. It is sad, it is depressing and it is creepy. I liked it because it really helped showcase his talent and showed that there’s much more to him than funny jokes.

The first movie that I will mention is Role Models. This movie stars Paul Rudd and Sean William Scott as a duo of troublemaking adults, who end up having to enroll in the big brothers little brothers program in order to avoid jail time. Hilarity ensues.

Another movie that stars Paul Rudd that is definitely one of my favorites is Clueless. This is a classic 1990s film and a role that Paul Rudd himself probably is not proud of. He actually plays a serious role in this film, for a change.

Wet Hot American Summer is another film that Rudd stars in that is absolutely hysterical. This film never got the exposure it deserved, maybe in part due to the fact that it was very limited in release. In fact, I’m not sure if it was ever in theaters at all.

While he was not the main star, one movie that featured Paul Rudd that I absolutely loved was Forgetting Sarah Marshall. This film stars Jason Segal, Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis and Russell Brand, and also has great roles from Rudd and Jonah Hill, amongst others. This is easily one of my favorite comedies of the past few years.

One other great film that I have to include on this list is The 40 Year Old Virgin. This Judd Apatow directed comedy was one of the surprise hits when it came out. This movie also stars Steve Carell, Catherine Keener and Romany Malco.

Hopefully there are one or more comedies on this list that you have not yet seen. For a good laugh, I recommend them all!

Another fantastic movie starring Adam Sandler is Click. This movie was not at all what I expected; it actually is a very emotional film, to say the least. Regardless of whether it is a true comedy, I still loved this movie.

Another great film starring Sandler was Punch Drunk Love. This movie confused a lot of people, because it was such a departure from his previous roles. I still really enjoyed this movie, and thought it was a great role for him.

One other excellent Adam Sandler movie was Funny People. This movie was directed by Judd Apatow, and may not have been as funny as previews and the marketing campaign led us on to believe. It still managed to be quite the enjoyable film.

Finally, Anger Management is one other Adam Sandler film that I absolutely loved. This movie also stars Jack Nicholson and Marisa Tomei. This movie is great for easy laughs.

I hope there is at least one Adam Sandler movie on this list that you have yet to see. When you are looking to laugh, few do it better than he can.

Dock Ellis is a pitcher who isn’t known by many baseball fans, though those who do know him probably know what this story will involve. In 1970, Ellis threw a no-hitter under the most extraordinary circumstances. He no-hit his opposition when he had taken LSD just a few hours before.

It wasn’t until 1984 that Ellis shared his secret with the world, so none of his teammates had even known that he was on LSD during this game. Still, this is something cray that people had a hard time believing after he revealed this.

Why would a pitcher ever take drugs on the day of his start, you ask? Well, it wasn’t as if he purposely did this. He actually mistakenly believed that his next start wasn’t for a few days, so he had taken LSD on his day off, not thinking he would have to pitch until a few days later. When he learned that it was his turn to start, he rushed to the stadium immediately.

As far as the game goes, Ellis really doesn’t remember much of what happened. He says that all of his attention was on his catcher. Ellis was extremely wild during this game. He hit a few of his opponents and walked some batters. Somehow, they couldn’t hit his pitches either.

Teammates had to let him in on the past actions of the hurler. He had a few fielding chances, but jumped out of the way. Sometimes he said the ball looked very small, while other times it was big.

There’s no doubt that LSD is a drug that should never be taken. Ellis’s accomplishment is still extremely weird and intriguing though. No one would ever expect someone to pitch so well under the influence of such a powerful drug.

The feat will always be more infamous than famous, but this is one record that hopefully will never be broken. I’m not sure if anyone could if they tried.

If you’ve seen Seinfeld in the past then Curb Your Enthusiasm will definitely have a familiar feel. It’s very much like the hit comedy and many people actually believe that it’s better than Seinfeld was, believe it as it may.

The next show I’m going to mention is a lesser known comedy that I’m surprised more people don’t know about. In fact, many people don’t even realize that Starz has original productions. Regardless, Party Down follows the lives of a catering company in Los Angeles.

There’s never a dull moment, as the crew arrives at a different, unique party situation each week and the plots are hilarious. It seems like every week, someone in the group is getting into some kind of trouble.

There are some actors on this show that you’ll probably recognize from other shows and movies, and they all do an incredible job at bringing the show its many laughs.

Two housemates, Sammy and Ronnie, have ended up falling in love with each other. This was very unexpected, as in the first episode, Ronnie had claimed that the last thing anyone should do at the Jersey Shore is fall in love. The two of them seem to be head over heels for one another.

Then, a recent episode with Vinnie, another member of the cast, brought some more surprise and suspense. While he was out at night, he ended up wandering off with an older woman. What he didn’t realize was that this woman was the date of the man whose house they’re living in. Needless to say, this didn’t sit well with Vinnie, who was sure that he’d be kicked out of the shore house.

Lastly, the fighting is a fixture on this show. In fact, you’d be hard pressed to find an episode that doesn’t involve some kind of a physical altercation. Not only do the men on the show find themselves in fights, but the women go at it too. This makes for some very wild television.

The cast members of this show have literally become overnight celebrities due to this reality show’s success. What happens from here should be very interesting.

In The Machinist, Bale plays Trevor Reznik, an emaciated insomniac who is not sure what is real and what is not. His controversial weight loss (reportedly 70 pounds) for this role redefined commitment to a role. Think Memento meets Thinner.

Based on the book of the same name, Bale plays Patrick Bateman in American Psycho, a psychopathic New York investment banker in the 80s. This movie has as many memorable lines as any for me.

Rescue Dawn – In another performance where Bale had to lose a ton of weight for the role, Rescue Dawn tells the true story of Dieter Dengler, a US pilot who was shot down and imprisoned in Southeast Asia during the Vietnam war.

Equilibrium – This movie is sort of bad, but amazing. In a futuristic world where humans take pills to suppress any sort of emotion, Christian Bale does a great job at showing his struggle to feel, while taking down bad guys at the same time.
